The Wholly Holy Factor

It was during this time as well that I saw a post that I wish I had saved. It shared something to this effect: How you use God’s name is a reflection of what you think about Him. (unattributed) As I processed that, my thoughts were slightly different. It occurred to me that how one uses God’s name is a reflection of what one may or may not know about God. My slightly different takeaway was based upon personal experiences and interactions with others that reflected the unintentional lack of respect for God’s name–many of which were primarily due to some common vernacular in our current culture. Additionally, I found that some Bible commentaries ascribe a higher responsibility to those who profess their belief in God and how they use or represent His name–equating behavior or actions that misrepresent God as a form of taking His name in vain.

For that reason, I was inspired to dig into Scripture to learn more about God’s holiness and character as well as how to bring glory, reverential honor, and praise to Him. This little book explores those very things by presenting topically-relevant logos (God’s Word as written in the Bible), and providing readers with opportunities to develop their own rhema (how God’s word resonates with you) takeaways.
