About the Author
About the Author
Hannah was born and raised in Northern Maine, and now lives in New Brunswick, Canada, with her husband, Austin, and their two children. She is a stay-at-home mom and wife, which she considers to be her highest calling. After high school, she attended Word of Life Bible Institute in New York. She went on to further her education, earning a Bachelor of Theology degree from Covington Theological Seminary while studying at New Brunswick Bible Institute, where Austin now serves on staff. Hannah enjoys supporting his ministry and raising their family in their close-knit Christian community.
She has a heart for encouraging other moms and sharing the joys and challenges of life with little ones. Her days are full of faith, laughter and sticky hands, and she loves finding God’s goodness in the small, everyday moments of motherhood. Writing has always been a creative outlet and a quiet joy for her — one that feels like both a hobby and a calling. She hopes this book is just the beginning of using words to encourage, uplift and point others to the heart of God.
About the Artist
Val is a lifelong creative whose love for the Lord and passion for painting found a beautiful meeting place in this project. She has been married to her husband, Matt — her biggest encourager — for 25 years, and together they raised their three children on their small homestead in rural New Brunswick. With her children now grown, she paints full-time.
Her work, often done in watercolor, acrylic, and oils, reflects her love for the beauty of God’s creation — especially animals, which she paints with a blend of realism and whimsy. Val prayed over each illustration in this book, hoping every child who sees them and hears its words will be blessed by it. Being a part of this project has been a deeply personal joy and a testimony to God’s perfect timing in her life.
