The Christmas Tree Story In the beginning, God created a wonderful world. He made the grass smell so good! It was soft and a beautiful green. He made the sky brilliant blue, and the sea so sparkly it shimmered like a thousand diamonds! Then, He made a special place called the Garden of Eden. Filled with juicy red apples, sweet purple berries, and bananas bigger than your arms! Close your eyes and picture playful monkeys swinging from branches, fluffy bunnies hopping through the flowers, and a gentle lion napping in the sun! But the most amazing thing in the garden was the Tree of Life, glistening with all the colors of the rainbow! Its roots reached deep down into the earth, and its branches stretched up, way up, to the sky like a tall ladder connecting Earth and Heaven. [ ... jump ahead to this section ... ] And that brings us to our Christmas tree! It’s more than just a pretty decoration. It’s like having a little piece of the Tree of Life right in our home! It tells the story of God’s love for us. See that star shining on the very top of the tree? That's like the star of Bethlehem that announced Jesus' birth to the world! Sometimes, there's an angel on top, just like the angel who told the shepherds about baby Jesus on the night He was born. Look at the bottom of the tree, that is where we find presents! Presents are like a special way of showing love. It’s important to remember that it’s not the actual gift that matters most. The best part is knowing someone cares about us and wants to give us something special. Just like we give presents to show our love, God gave us the best present ever: His son, Jesus! "Now, let's look closely at the Christmas tree. Did you know it's a gift from Jesus? How amazing is that! Remember how God made a plan to invite us back to heaven? Well, the Christmas tree is like a special reminder of that promise. Every year, homes all over the world celebrate the day God kept His promise and showed us how much He loves us by giving us the best gift ever, Jesus. That is why our homes feel so full of love and happiness when we celebrate Jesus’ birthday! And here's the best part! When we turn on those bright, twinkling lights, they remind us that Jesus is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. His light shows us the way to Heaven!
