Quoting King, He
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus, ended his conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well, saying, "I am he."
( Scripture: The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."
Then Jesus declared, "I, the one speaking to you-I am he." (John 4:25-26, N.I.V.)
Furthermore, in the context of the soldier's detachment, guided by Judas at Gethsemane Garden, Jesus replied, "I am He."
(Scripture:) Jesus, Knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them," Who is it you want?" Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "I am he," Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, "I am He, "they drew back and fell to the ground. Again, he asked them, "Who do you want?" "Jesus of Nazareth," they said. Jesus answered, "I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go." (John 18:4-8, N.I.V.)
To illustrate this subject, I add "He" to the titles and names given to our gracious Lord, Jesus.
Meditating on the events of Jesus' arrest, his fake judgment, condemnation, and posterior crucifixion, I feel more convinced that the Jesus I serve is the only authentic representative of God before humanity.
Please read with me, "After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him. When King Herod heard this, he was disturbed, and Jerusalem was with him. When he had called together all the people's chief priests and law teachers, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written: "But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel."
Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem, saying, "Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me so that I may go and worship him. After they heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his Mother, Mary, and bowed down and worshiped him. Then, they opened their treasures and presented him with gold, frankincense, and myrrh gifts. And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."
So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night, and left for Egypt, where he stayed until Herod's death. And so the Lord fulfilled what he had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."
When Herod realized that the Magi had outwitted him, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under by the time he had learned from the Magi. Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled: "A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more."
After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said, "Get up, take the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child's life are dead."
So he got up, took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel. But he was afraid to go there when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father, Herod. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene. (Matt 2:1-23, N.I.V.)
I am not skilled enough to add any more convincing comment to tell you that the Christ I belong to, the crucified Jesus, is the son of the only living heavenly God. The truth is that the religious leaders always wanted to murder the innocent Jesus. The decision to kill Jesus did not come when Jesus answered the high priest's question, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the son of God." (Matt 26: 63 N.I.V.) Remember that a long time before, Just after Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead, the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.
"What are we accomplishing?" they asked. "Here is this man performing many signs. If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation. (John 11:47-48, N.I.V.)
According to Matthew's gospel, as soon as Jesus was arrested and appeared before the Sanhedrin, the chief priest and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. (Matt 26:59.N.I.V.) Although the Bible doesn't mention it, thinking about Christ's humanity, perhaps Mary (Jesus's mother) was the only one who could accuse him of leaping into her womb. When the high priest tore his clothes, that was the fallacy of the last hammer strike that nails the truth.
