WITH JESUS in John 14 (John 14:1-8) “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” O God, my Father in heaven, help me remember that the worst news for Jesus' disciples, of his leaving, was actually the best news for them because they would soon know You as their Father and be with You as Jesus always was! O God, I want to know You as MY Father in heaven now, and forevermore, through Jesus, the only way to You! That will be enough for me! In Jesus' name. Amen My Prayer:

About the Book
WITH JESUS calls readers to hold themselves accountable to the Word and check their alignment every day WITH JESUS. It’s one thing to look at a plate of food, another thing to chew the food, and still another to swallow the food for nutritional benefit. Charlie believes we must not only read the Word of God, we must also ponder it, and ultimately pray it into our hearts for the benefit of the Spirit’s work to move us to obedience and transformation. This book models how to ‘pray the Word’ and challenges readers to compose their own prayers WITH JESUS in the Word of the day.
About the Author
In 1970 Charlie Herndon submitted his life to Christ in baptism at age 15. But in college, when he encountered the extraordinary faith of Nigerian student Sunday Umoh, Charlie was inspired to fast for the first time in his life and seek God more deeply. With renewed faith, Charlie changed his major from accounting to Bible and trusted God with his future. He went on to serve as a full-time youth minister until age 40 before putting his faith to the test in secular work environments for the next 30 years. During that time, Charlie served 13 years as a church shepherd. Whether youth or adults, Charlie has devoted his life to helping others mature into passionate Christ followers, just as Sunday Umoh did for him. For the past decade, Charlie’s practice has been to read through the gospels every three months, a chapter each day, to remain focused on Jesus. In recent years, he’s shared with loved ones daily scriptures alongside a carefully worded prayer. Brothers and sisters in Christ around the country are receiving these daily emails, as well as Sunday Umoh in Nigeria.
