DAY 3 Luke 24:16-18 (ESV) But their eyes were kept from recognizing Him. And He said to them, “What is this conversation that you are holding with each other as you walk?” And they stood still, looking sad. Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?” This verse is interesting because even though Jesus walked with the disciples, they did not know it was Him. As people are hurting, it is hard to feel the love of God. Before entering deliverance, we were unaware that the enemy was deceiving us. Satan has practiced deceit since Adam and Eve and is quite proficient at it. We begin our journey lost, and even though we pray, worship, and attend religious functions, we never feel God's love or hear His voice. When hurt, we cry out to heaven. Where were you when I needed you, and why didn't you prevent this? In Luke, chapter 24, Cleopas gave his eyewitness account of Jesus's life as He reported it to the "visitor." He did not see Jesus or recognize Him. How much more can we miss seeing Him? After the resurrection, Jesus could reveal himself to those whom He chose. After the prayer over the bread, He blessed it, and their eyes were open for a fleeting moment (Lk.24:30-32). Remember this key: when the disciple's hearts were lined up with Jesus and felt the Holy Spirit, their reality was corrected, and they saw and felt the Lord. Living a Godly life can often feel like battling against the gale-force winds of a hurricane. Many of our prayers seemed unanswered, leaving us confused and disheartened. At times, we felt unloved, even by God. But remember, God's love is always there, a constant presence, waiting for you to reach out and connect with Him. A profound transformation occurs when deliverance ministry begins to dismantle the negative constructs. Suddenly, prayers are answered in minutes, a miraculous change. Hatred, fear, self-loathing, and anxiety, which have plagued us for years, are peeled away. Deliverance ministry is a powerful force, offering a path to a closer walk with God, healing, and wholeness. In Michelangelo's famous quote, "I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free" (Brainyquote 2019), you are like this: a beautiful creation of God, a marble statue waiting for the divine Master to free you. Prayer Dear Lord, For this day, please let me see you and feel you. Remove from me all familiar spirits and anything that does not bow down to the cause of Christ. God gives me wings to soar with you and the energy to be successful for you. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that raises up you shall condemn for such is the inheritance of the children of God. Thank you for another day. I love you, God. Amen.
