Restful Pasture There is a gate to enter in, Through a gentle Savior and Friend. Who provides perfect pasture, Morning, evening, noon, and thereafter. Here the Savior knows each name, And each one is truly grateful they came. They listen to His voice assured, For they have protection in His pasture. The Shepherd feeds them with His Word. And He gives them rest assured. Here they learn and grow, The value of sitting at His feet, they know. So, in and out they come and go. To share His love and saving Gospel. To bring others into His sheepfold, So all will know the salvation He holds. Given freely to all who come. Who enter by the only door, God’s only Son. Who came to rescue all men, And give them new pastures over and again. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:9

About the Author
Shelley’s Christ centered poems will inspire you to draw closer to Jesus. She writes in her quiet time with the Lord, as she reads His Word and draws close to Him. She has previously written, The Path of Prayer, A Quarterly Poem Prayer Journal, along with a children’s book, entitled, God is Good! Leading Children to Jesus. This title shows children the wonder of God’s seven days of creation to the message of salvation. It is a gentle book allowing children to see God’s goodness in all He has made, and the loving gift of the cross Jesus gave for each of us. Shelley actively serves at Bridgeway Church of the Nazarene in Beaufort, North Carolina and resides in Morehead City, North Carolina with her husband Glenn. They have two sons, Samuel, with his wife Grace, and Jesse.
