Many coming events are mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Many of those events are fearful and deadly. If you are not rooted and grounded in the Solid Rock of Jesus Christ the future may be very disturbing. If you are not assured you have a home prepared for you in heaven, difficult and troubling times lie ahead for you.
We the people of this country are at a crossroads for the future of the United States of America (USA). Which way will we choose? Today among our leadership, lying is a commonplace activity, an attribute that takes place all too often.
It seems like mankind has a very strong propensity to sin and disobey God’s instructions. In the flood God only found eight righteous people so He destroyed the entire population of the world saving only the eight.
Our goal in this work is to compare the nations of Israel and the United States of America (USA) in the areas of disobedience and punishment.
The problem became the Israelites did not learn from their mistakes.
Anyone involved in any type of rebellion against the Lord will face punishment at the hands of the Lord.
It is imperative that we keep foremost in our minds that sin is not a mere weakness or a flaw. Sin is fatal and it must be eradicated from every part of our lives.
How can we tell if we have an idol in our life.
So, God informed him that He would tear the kingdom of Israel away from his descendants. After Solomon’s death his son Rehoboam came to power but very quickly God took the ten northern tribes and gave then to Jeroboam, a former servant of Solomon.
Jeremiah proclaimed this message in 605bc, this appears to be a time when the Lord was upset with the entire population on the earth at that time.
For God destroyed the armies of the three nations. Why
did God do this? Because Jehoshaphat called the entire nation to Jerusalem for prayer and fasting.
The Lord God Almighty instructed Israel to kill everything that breathes in their conquering of the Promised Land. Had Israel obeyed God as they took control of the Promise Land, they would not have had the Canaanites and the descendants of Ishmael living amongst them.
If we look at the glory of God, we can get a good view of how the relationship between God and the people of Israel is progressing. Because of their terrible sin God could no longer leave His glory with His chosen people.
Where does America stand today, are we still a Christian nation? We know that in 1620 the Puritans came from England to establish a nation where Christians could freely worship the God of their choice. Did they succeed or did that experiment fail?
Who are the children of God who can live in God’s holy tent in God’s mansion in heaven? These people must walk in integrity, work righteousness, and speak truth. Those who abide in God’s mansion in heaven are those who learn from Jesus and model His activities. Both Peter and John tell us in their writings that they were eyewitnesses of Jesus.
So, how have values changed with the changing of our culture. God has truly blessed the United States but we are not satisfied, we always want more so the nation continues to borrow more and more. Has God blessed us too much? Today what this world really needs is people who value the characteristics that model our Lord.
I have an important question, what can separate us from the love of God?
Many events are planned before this earth reaches its conclusion. Among those events are the Rapture, the Tribulation, the Bema Seat Judgment, the War of Armageddon, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the Millenium, the Great White Throne Judgment, the Destruction of the heavens and the earth and the new heavens coming down from above. Therefore, in these two events one-half or an estimated 3.0 billion people are killed.
Then they enter the Great White Throne Judgment where books are opened and they are judged from what is written in the books. Each one at this judgment is thrown into the lake of fire.
Peter in his second epistle tells us about the new heavens and earth. But before this happens, we are told the present heavens will pass away and the earth will be burned up with intense heat. Can you imagine being in the presence of God Almighty?
Now God describes Himself as your Creator; then tells Israel do not fear; because I have redeemed you. Notice not I will redeem you but I have redeemed you, it is already a completed task.
For just a moment comprehend the magnitude of this trip, we won’t need an airplane, we won’t need a spaceship. Jesus will provide all the propulsion needed to make it safely into the place that Jesus has prepared for us. We are unsure of what God’s plan for America will be. But we know without a doubt what will happen to those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. All those taken in the Rapture will see both the old and new heaven.
Why a reply of I hope so or I don’t know to the question of are you going to heaven when you die is unsatisfactory.
Then we are told God’s lovingkindness is everlasting. It will exist throughout all eternity it will never disappear.
We have looked at many sinful acts both of Israel and the USA. But what we find is the lovingkindness of the Lord along with His numerous promises prevailing and He relents concerning His punishments. Through the blood of Christ, we who had no hope, no promise, and were without God, now have been brought into the place where salvation reigns.
