Forever and Ever

Eternity beckons us, that we live and occupy in the world as children of light, that we get off the broken fence of complacency and mediocrity and proudly don the clothes of righteousness, the armor he has forged so that we can stand against any weapon formed against us by the wiles of our enemy. We are called to position ourselves, not as proud, “holier than thou” elitists, but as beacons of light shining on a hill, showing the way to Christ himself; living so that he be the prize for which we contend, the relationship we covet, and not the riches we can possess. We cannot get lost in the throngs of the madding crowd, on the broad path that leads us away from Christ, from our obligation to him, and our responsibility to our fellow man. Because as that path broadens, so do the borders of its destination, a burial ground called Hell that enlarges her territory every day, from whence there is no escape, no release, where the spiritually dead will awaken to find themselves.
Eternity beckons, from everlasting to everlasting, from the very pinnacle of existence. Eternity beckons from one expanding universe to another, from the closest star to a glimmering infinity with Heaven as its capitol city, calling to us to witness the yea and amen of every word that is written in his holy script, every prophecy that has come forth out of the mouths of his prophets, the accumulative culmination of every prayer that has risen to the throne of grace. Eternity beckons our spirits that are quickened to dip in the water and be baptized from the sin of neglect and selfishness and rise afresh in the newness of life. We are quickened to be delivered from every stronghold that has attached to our souls, manifesting a form of godliness, but denying the power to preach the gospel, to heal the sick, raise the dead, and to live holy. Our spirits are quickened by the anointing of fresh oil, to be filled with the spirit of Christ, to see the world through the lens of truth, to speak the words of salvation, justification, and reconciliation. We are admonished to throw off the heavy cloak of delusion, to denounce every lie, every force, every spirit, that tries to mimic, yet disavows the power and authority of God Almighty and the authority that we, his children, possess.
Eternity beckons as it is nigh and stands at the shore of the waves of time as it pulls back from the presence of endlessness. Time wraps its waves around itself as it slips away like the foam it evolved, to be dissolved into finality. Eternity is likened to an unending dispensation, uninterrupted eternal existence, never-ending and immutable, infinite boundlessness, from everlasting to everlasting, forever and ever and ever…
