Recently, while studying the love of the Bible, I was led by the Holy Spirit to research the subject of strongholds. I thought to myself, “Strongholds?” “Lord, what do strongholds have to do with love?” At that moment, God clearly said, “My people don’t know me.” How can My people understand Me, My love, or how to love others if they don’t know Me?” My heart broke because I felt the sadness from the Holy Spirit, and I knew from what I had just been told that God doesn’t just want His people to know about Him, but to know Him intimately. I knew that strongholds are the schemes of the enemy to keep us from the intimacy He’s longing for. He wants you to desire Him. He’s longing for a relationship with a bride who’s committed themselves to Him, not a fling or one-night stand that gets you what you want, and then you’re gone until you need Him again. He wants to show you who He really is. He wants you to understand His ways and that everything He does comes from a place of love because, according to 1 John 4:8, He is love. He wants you to be free of the enemy and yourself. Yes, that’s right, yourself. In these times, not knowing God should not be an option for anyone. That’s like playing a game of Russian Roulette, knowing that Jesus could be coming on a cloud for all the world to see now (See Revelations 1:7). I want everyone to know Jesus, and so does He. As a matter of fact, we’re told by Peter, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 KJV). In other words, God isn’t procrastinating before returning, but He is patiently waiting for you to turn to Him and repent because He loves you so much and doesn’t want to see you perish in hell. He loves you so much that He sends His people to tell you about Him and to warn you that His second coming is drawing near. So, without question, I accepted the assignment He asked me to do and wrote this book in hopes of informing you of the devices the enemy uses to hinder your relationship with Jesus and to help you to be free to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind as Jesus states as being the greatest commandment in Matthew 22:37.

My People Don’t Know Me is a Holy Spirit-inspired book. Page after page, you will feel the heart of Jesus as He expresses His desire for a relationship with you. You will learn the tactics Satan uses to separate you from God, how to take authority over the enemy, and that you are the greatest hindrance in your relationship with Jesus. Through dozens of scriptures, you will learn what the Word of God says about surrendering to Him, dying to self, strongholds and how to pull them down, and much more. God desires to have a close relationship with you, just as He had with Adam and Eve before Satan entered the garden. It is our responsibility to seek him and make Him our first love, not ourselves. Whether you have never met Jesus, have just turned your life over to Him, or have been serving Him for years, this book will help you grow spiritually. We do not have time to waste in these last days. James 4:14 NLT says, “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.” A lie that Satan tells you is that you have plenty of time. The truth is you’re not promised tomorrow, so why would you take the chance of not knowing Jesus? Don’t waste another day. Surrender your life to God and develop a relationship with Him.
