Introduction
Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Are you tired of having the same problems repeatedly? Whether you have addictions, habits, emotional pain, physical pain, illnesses or financial problems, and you want desperately to turn your life around and obtain your dreams, this book is for you. God never intended for us to live a miserable life. In fact, he has promised to give us life more abundantly, or better than good (John 10:10). This kind of life starts with believing that Jesus died for our sins.
I believe that most people want to live a joyful, happy life but become so wrapped up in their problems that they lose hope and feel they will never be able to pursue this goal of being happy. This book will not only let you know that you can fulfill your dreams but will tell you how to pursue God to partake of the wonderful life that He has waiting for you.
God has taken my life of hopelessness and turned it around into something that I thought I would never have. I have come from homelessness to having a home I never dreamed I would ever have. I have been set free from addiction. There was a time when I couldn’t pay the bills and now, I can pay bills and give money to my local church. I was a mess, but God had a plan for me. God has a plan for you too. I want you to receive what seems impossible to you! If you can just catch a glimpse of what God can do for you and you walk with Him, I believe that your situations will change. God doesn’t have favorites. What he did for me he can do for anyone else and He can do even more than he did for me. With a willing heart, this book will give you ways to grow closer to God and see your situations change.
This book will assist as a guide for accepting Christ in your life and share basic principles that can help you to grow in your salvation. You may say, “Why do I want to grow in my salvation?” Well, getting saved is just like any other thing in life. If you get married, you don’t just leave it at that. You work on it, and you try to learn more things to make it even better. Salvation is something that you can work on as well. Once saved most people are very excited and want to share it with everyone. Some people start diving deep into their Bible. These are all good things to do but there is much, much more that you can do to grow in God. Who loves a beautiful flower? Those that do would be saddened to see just a bud and no flower being produced after the bud. Our new life can be like that. We can get saved and stay in that little bud or we can bloom into something amazing! Who knows, maybe you can end up helping others change their lives for the better.
I pray that each person that reads this book reads it with a willing heart and mind. I pray that many are saved, and I pray that multitudes of people around the world receive what God wants them to receive because of having read this book. Hopefully this book can help you transform into a beautiful flower, whether you have never been saved or you have just rededicated your life or are somewhere in between.
CHAPTER 1
What God Wants for You
Do you sit and cry in misery about the life that you wish you could have? Do you use alcohol or drugs as a way of avoiding your problems? Are you hopeless or confused? Do you have physical pain in your body? If you are tired of feeling hopeless and you tell yourself that life on earth is hell, then Jesus wants to help you. Do you long for healing, prosperity, happiness and joy? Are you filled with anger and untrust? God wants to see you healed, prosperous, full of joy and victorious!
There are a couple things that you need to do for Jesus to help you. The first step to living a changed life is to determine that you are going to do so no matter what comes against you. You must truly want to change your life. Once you have decided that enough is enough and you’ve tried many other means of “fixing” your life, I dare you to trust God. If you want to be free, you need to ask God to come into your life. Whether you have once known Jesus or you have never known Jesus, NOW is the time to ask Him into your heart and to seek Him.
