Even though my parents had fifteen children together, they had two different generations of children, the Generation X, which were the older children, and the Millennial Generation, the younger children. The older siblings, who were the first eight children and the younger seven siblings who are totally different. Out of the older set of children, only three out of the eight consistently visit or talk to dad. I am one of the five that barely sees or talks to him. It is not because I do not want to, it’s because he does not want it. He says he does, but his actions say otherwise. So I just keep my distance. Can hardly ever reach him on the phone and he does not respond to texts. When I do go visit, he is mostly not there. Dad picks and chooses the children of his he goes to and visits. For the most part, it's the siblings who are laid back and easy going who he decides to visit and interact with.
