The opening arguments: Prosecution argues that flesh and Spirit are at odds. Flesh wants pre-eminence and is carnal in nature. The Spirit of God claims we are to “walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh and the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit.”

About the Book
Years ago, the author wrote short devotionals through her church to encourage people each week with prayer requests and upcoming events through email called “Carol’s Chirps.” After the church grew larger, this service was no longer needed. Carol’s Chirps then expanded to people, pastors, and ministries all over the United States. Many of those the author sends out tell her that they send them onto their family and friends. It has been a delightful ministry for the author in sharing her faith through writing. This devotional is meant to stimulate thought using the Bible as a source to grow and encourage others in their walk with the Lord. It is a book of hope sharing how God has guided the author throughout her life. It comes through memories and reflections, through humorous articles, personal stories, and study. God often echoes back to the author His truth to her through farm life, creation, and real-life experiences. It is the author’s hope and prayer that all who read its pages will witness that truth through the author’s eyes. May the reader see how God’s love, grace, and mercy profoundly impact them through these writings.
