Preview in Introduction chapter You may have heard this encouraging phrase before, “Just put your faith in God”. In my experience, I see a distinction between having faith in the general sense and trusting on God during challenging times. Distinguishing between the two can sometimes seem tricky as these two concepts overlap. We use our faith to believe for and receive answers to our prayers and benefits of our covenant, but I would discover that my faith alone was not sufficient to sustain me without also applying a persevering trust in the Person of God and His Word. The following Scriptures speak to the necessity on believing and trusting in God and they both are inseparable. Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) says, “6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Additionally, Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) says, “5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” I have come to understand that it is essential to trust God through challenging times especially when our prayers are delayed or – in some cases – not answered in the manner we anticipated. “Reaffirmed Faith” is just a portion of my testimony to the Glory of God as it relates to the transformation in my faith that began and continues to take place ever since I embarked on this journey of simply trusting God beyond the borders of what I see. In Chapter 3 I open my heart to share how our lived-out experiences, trauma, and triggers have the potential to affect our thinking, believing, and cloud our judgment which impacts our belief system and our ability to trust in God and His Word. “Reaffirmed Faith” is written for the believer whose faith has lost its momentum and whose trust has been diminished. The results of our prayers will not always pan out like we want, but this is when we must trust Him regardless of what we see around us. How we deal with adversity and circumstances in our lives is key and will make the difference in walking through our journeys in victory or defeat. This is a choice that we are each presented with which can have a great impact on each of us and can ultimately change the course of our lives. This book highlights principles from the Word of God that guides us in maturing in our faith and enlightens us to persevere in our trust in God through difficult and challenging times.

About the Author
Wanda P. Dillihay was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey and now lives in Florida. She accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior at the age of twelve. She is a dedicated and supportive mother of two and a loving grandmother of seven. Wanda spent many years teaching Sunday school at the Ark of Safety Church in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Bible school at Harvest Time Prayer Ministry in Tulsa Oklahoma. Reaffirmed Faith is her first book. Wanda is compassionate about the physical and inner healing of all people, as well as the ministry of reconciliation to Christ.
