About the Author

Janice Burnette is a retired teacher who spent many years as a reading specialist helping beginning and struggling readers. She currently teaches preschoolers in Sunday school and Mission Friends at her church. Janice also enjoys playing piano and organ, reading, working puzzles, and exploring national and state parks. She and her husband, Roy, have three children, two grandchildren, and live in Sylva, North Carolina.
