“Mr. Kennedy!” Wynn excitedly yelled as he ran over to Mr. Kennedy’s yard. “Good morning, Mr. Kennedy!”
Mr. Kennedy was drying his coffee cup when he heard Wynn’s call. He smiled to himself; he could not wait to get started with their activity for the day.
“I’m in the kitchen!” Mr. Kennedy shouted through the open kitchen window into the backyard. “Come on in.”
Wynn let himself into Mr. Kennedy’s yard and went into the house through the backdoor. “Good morning! Are you ready to be a mechanic with me today?” Wynn asked.
Mr. Kennedy grinned from ear to ear. “I sure am, Wynn. In fact, my SUV needs an oil change. Would you like to be the mechanic who changes my oil today?”
“That sounds like a lot of fun! I know a mechanic would change the oil on an SUV; Mom takes our SUV to a mechanic for oil changes. Let’s do this!”
“Now wait a minute, Wynn.” Mr. Kennedy’s face turned serious. “Do you know how to change the oil on a vehicle? Or do we need to learn how to do this together?”
