About the Book
“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” - Psalm 18:2 According to the Domestic Violence Resource Center, one in three women will experience some form of physical violence from their partner. What can be done to help women in such desperate situations? In an inspirational devotional, Annie Bek shares biblical principles, prayers, and emotional guidance for women caught in the mighty grip of abuse. Through her wisdom and spiritual insights, abused women will rediscover their worth in Christ, learn how to deal with the emotions and experiences that both accompany and follow abuse, and be reminded that God is greater than any dark situation, and that with His strength, they will stand tall once again with a renewed identity in Jesus Christ. Reeds Before the Wind is a devotional that gently guides female abuse survivors through tumultuous muddy waters to the comfort and unconditional love of Jesus Christ.
