Exquisite
However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.

It’s quite an exquisite thing to be a Christian—to carry His name.
Exquisite is a descriptive word, which means extremely beautiful, lovely, or fine. That certainly describes Christ and His relationship with us!
I say this knowing full well that in this world we will have trouble, but He has overcome the world. I can say this even though we will all face death because He has overcome the grave.
How about living our lives with the hope of eternal life before us? How exquisite is that?
During this time in history when Christianity is often misunderstood and our beliefs and values are not regarded in the same way as they once were, we can find joy in knowing that it is still a privilege to bear the name of Christ. We don’t have to be ashamed to be a Christian, regardless of how much criticism we face, because we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is an exquisite thing—to be a Christian!
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; Romans 1:16 (KJV).
