Making It So A hint of pink breaks through the winter clouds Touching the snow-draped branches that surround While the sharp chill of crisp winter air blows Melting drops of snow form ringlets in the half-frozen stream below Hinting at Winter's slowly growing fear That Spring's grand, and elegant entrance is drawing near. I sit beside the still water, feeling the cold wet snow As it soaks through my well-worn blue jean coat And I think about the God who makes it all so. The beauty of this damp frosty morning and all the dazzling snow And the senses that cause me to see, feel, hear and know And again, I think of the noble God who made it so, The voices of robins and song sparrows Reach hearts and ears shooting their melodic arrows through the cold And I smile, as I drift away to dream awhile Not understanding the ecstasy of this lofty mystery Now the hue of pink spreads across white clouds Touching the snow-cloaked trees that surround While the sharp chill of winter breeze blows Drops of melting snow form ringlets in the half-frozen stream below Hinting of Winter's slowly yielding fear of Spring's grand and graceful entrance drawing near I sit still beside the stream feeling the cold wet snow as it soaks through my old blue-jean coat And consider the lofty God who made it so Remembering the beauty of that cool and quiet morn so long ago And the senses that caused me to see, feel, hear and know I am greatly moved, and thank the God who made it all so...
