About the Book

Debbie Singley and her family have gone on multiple mission trips to Zimbabwe with their church, One & All, in partnership with the Africa Development Mission Trust. While preparing for one of those trips, she felt the Lord call her to write this book. In it, she shares lessons children need to hear and know about. Photos are included throughout, so that children of color in a developing country setting can see themselves in the book. One of the book’s most critical messages that Jesus loves you and cares about you. Other insights include: • Jesus wants to walk with you, talk with you, and listen to you. • Everyone has gifts and talents. Use them for His glory. • Nothing can separate you from God’s love! • You must clothe yourself with kindness and compassion. • Animals are a gift to us and serve a purpose on earth. Each lesson is backed up with a powerful verse from the Bible, which along with the book’s incredible photos, reinforce God’s truths. All children of color will relate to this book and come to know the love that God has for them.

About the Author

Debbie Singley has taught elementary school for seventeen years and is a reading intervention teacher at a public school in Southern California. She earned her Bachelor of Science in liberal arts from Azusa Pacific University and a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Western Governors University. Her passion is to teach children academic fundamentals as well as the love God has for all his children. She and her husband have two adult children and live in Claremont, California.
