Author’s Note
In high school, I weighed over 230 pounds. I was overweight and depressed. And because I didn’t love myself, I also lacked boundaries and let people take advantage of me, use me, and say whatever they wanted to me. I never stood up for myself. I just held it all in, and I did not want to live. I used to wake up crying because it was another day to fight the mental battles. My inner monologue was always telling me I wasn’t good, smart, or pretty enough. Presently, I have maintained an eighty-one-pound weight loss for eight years, overcome childhood obesity, overcome disordered eating, and overcome depression, among other triumphs. People would ask me, “What did you change?” and “How did you do it?”
That is why I created my blog, LetsGetPosi.com. I want to share the lessons and positive words that transformed my life. It wasn’t until I got my mind right that things started changing. I’ve learned that our life is only as good as our mindset. So that means when we change our thoughts, we can change our life. I’m not suggesting ignoring or denying our unfavorable situations. I ask you to try again. I ask you to push through tough times with positive practices and tools. We have tools to help us, plus God.
I want to share the positive messages and activities that helped keep me going and helped me to overcome my mental battles. I encourage you to intentionally create a positive space with inspirational Let’s Get Posi decor. On my website, my store includes mugs, socks, tote bags, and more with affirmations printed on them.
No matter what is going on, having reminders around us that inspire us to push through will help. We must keep the negative thoughts outnumbered. We must wake up thinking everything will work in our favor, even if yesterday was a challenge! Because it’s a new day with new opportunities and doors to approach. Another day to try again. Another day to get past it. It may be your hundredth time trying and failing something, but it’s your first 101st time tomorrow, and that could be the time everything changes. Keep trying. Keep going. Keep faith.
I hope you find this workbook helpful along your positivity power growth journey. I wish you more moments of laughter, peace, and goal attainment!
Peace,
Paige Blessman

What does “Let’s Get Posi” mean?
Find the positive steps to take after unfavorable happenings.
Have the willingness and openness for every event to happen as it is.
Accept sudden requests and unforeseen detours, and do not resent them.
Have a secured hope anchor.
Keep faith.
Why faith-based positivity?
Happiness attached to our jobs, plans, relationships, finances, or other things will lead to destruction. Our souls have a secure, immovable anchor to which we can attach our happiness. His name is Jesus. Hebrews 6:18–19 (NLT) says, “So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.” When we use God as an anchor, we carry great confidence into any situation that tries to rock us off our boat.
I’m a positive-thinking person because I have faith in God, who is bigger and more powerful than any problem or challenge I have.
We walk a little differently when we know we have a God who loves, helps, heals, hears, saves, blesses, teaches, guides, watches, answers, defends, forgives, redeems, and remakes us; who speaks and responds to us; and who provides for us.
Know that God is going to show up miraculously!
