Using sports terminology, the devotionals target young athletes and young adults to
provide them with the equipment needed to play the Game of Life. Bible verses
applicable to everyday life will help apply the sports terminology/metaphors to the
decision-making process. Living a Christ-centered life removes the stress, anxiety and
fears of everyday life. Sports occupies a unique position in our society. We embrace
sports and competition. It provides us with our heroes and villains, with our role models
and mentors, and with our leaders. When athletes use their platform to praise and
glorify Jesus Christ, it has a profound impact on their audience.
Why target young athletes and young adults? Peer pressure is greatest among
teenagers and young adults. Decisions made during this period can have a life changing
impact—for the better and for the worse. Equipping young athletes and young adults
with Biblical devotionals in a manner with which they can relate will help them not only
live a life God intended but will provide them with the defense to criticisms Christians
often receive. Young athletes can use their platform to impact decisions made for Christ
by their peers. The devotionals will help the young athlete and young adults understand
life’s challenges, and, in the end, bring them victory.
We have an Awesome God! He loved us so much, He gave us His Son, Jesus Christ, as a
sacrifice for our sin. Jesus paid our sin debt, a debt He did not owe but only He could
pay. Because of Jesus, we can be reconciled to God and live life eternally in what Jesus
called on the cross - “Paradise”. Jesus is the GAME CHANGER!

About the Book
Just Win Baby contains 101 devotionals to help young athletes and young adults navigate life with Jesus Christ as their head coach.
Joe Bill Campbell, a successful trial attorney, former college athlete, and a Christian gives each devotional a title derived from a word, term, expression, idiom, or metaphor that comes from the sports world but is used in everyday living. Following each title are Bible verses that provide context and meaning to the titled expression.
The Bible verses are followed by a message to the young athlete and/or young adult, explaining how the term or expression plays a role in daily life. The author follows up each message with insights on how to win at the game of life with Jesus Christ leading the way. At the close of each devotional is space to write your own comments, notes, and reflections.
The bottom line is the only way to achieve victory—in this life and in the life beyond—by developing a personal relationship with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
About the Author
Joe Bill Campbell is a successful trial attorney, a former college athlete, a past president of the Kentucky Bar Association, and a former chair of the Kentucky Council on Higher Education and the Western Kentucky University Board of Regents. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law (with honors) and was inducted into the College of Law’s Hall of Fame. More importantly, he is a father, a grandfather, and a Christian.
