Luke 18: 2 - 5 "There was, in a city, a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man. And there was a widow in that city and she came unto him saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while, but afterward, he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet, because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming, she weary me."
Christ gave this parable to show us that we should continually and in full faith, with importunity, petition God in prayer for His gifts,--- in this case, the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit led us to Christ, the author of our salvation and He will lead us on to eternal salvation, if we would seek His “still small voice,” for guidance, for He teaches us the things of Christ!! -- John 14: 26
Consider your prayers very seriously and very carefully, because after we have received Christ as our Savior, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ and the Holy Spirit living within us and our doing “His will,” is the most important condition we can attain to, in our desire to please God, however, there is one thing that is even more important, which we should pursue, even before our prayers!
James 1: 2 – 7 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh “patience;” But let “patience” have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
{In our “patience,” we are silent, before the Lord! We clear our minds of all thoughts and concerns, “waiting on the Lord,” allowing the God of all creation to lead our spirit in His ways!
As we have said before, This “waiting on God,” this absolute surrender to God, in full faith and perfect patience, is a spiritual, reciprocal experience that is indescribable! While we are “waiting on God,” this beautiful, spiritual interaction with and within the very presence and essence of God, frees one from “all resentments,” bringing a spiritual peace into one’s heart that exceeds anything you could possibly have ever known without Him!
This spiritual, reciprocal, interaction in your intimate communication with the Lord, is of the Spirit! ---- And through the Spirit, if we “expectantly, wait” for Him, in full faith and patience, totally trusting that God will lead us where He would have us to go! And, we will, by and through the Holy Spirit, receive God’s inspiration and His help, in our time of need!}
Psalm 25: 4 – 5 “Shew me thy ways; O Lord; teach me Thy paths. Lead me in thy truth and teach me, for Thou art the God of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day.”
Micah 7: 7 – 8 “Therefore I will look unto the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy; when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.”
Psalm 40: 1 – 4 “I waited patiently for the Lord and He inclined unto me and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock {the stability of Christ, in our life!} and established my goings. He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it and fear and shall trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust.” {Our full faith is in the Lord! See Rom. 9: 30}
Isaiah 40: 31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 64: 4 “For since the beginning of the world, men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen,
O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that “waiteth” for Him.”
The glorious name of God is far too exalted, even for our highest praise! His nature is incomprehensibly Holy and incomparable to anything we could possibly know and yet, we are commanded to praise Him, as much as we are able, even in our finite, inadequate and definitely incomplete attempts to worship Him, we acknowledge His infinite and glorious greatness!

About the Book
Maturing within the Mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord! {Intended for the young, as well as for the more mature Christian.}
This is a collection of articles, on different subjects that the author has written over past years.
The first portion of this collection was written for young people, some connected with sports, but also with other subjects, pertaining to life. The rest of them, are intended to be just basic Christianity, so the prayer of the author, is:
Psalm 19: 14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.”
It is also his prayer that the first part of this writing might help young people to find the Lord and especially to “know God,” which will put real meaning and purpose into those young lives!
If you, or anyone close to you, is truly pursuing the Lord, desiring to “Know God,” hopefully, this book and especially the last few articles, might lead you and them, in finding real meaning in the joy and happiness, of one truly being “in Christ,” which leads one to truly “knowing God!”
If the Lord wills this to happen, you will find that any other life you might choose, will not appeal to you at all any more, because nothing that this world has to offer, will even come close to the ecstasy of one living within the joy of our truly “knowing God!”
The goal of the book is that this relationship truly does become a reality in your lifeAbout the Author
The author is a small, dry land farmer and has had no specialized training in the things of the gospel, except that, as a sinner, he has always loved the Lord and the desire of his life has been that he might do “the Lord’s will” in his life!
He has also had his share of unsolvable problems in life, but when he looks back on those things, --- but from a different perspective now, --- the Lord has been very merciful and good to him, in that He has blessed him in the good things and also in the bad things, with a renewed desire to draw closer to God, which has become the ultimate of earthly blessings to him!!
Because of those things, both good and bad, and for the Lord’s presence and the still small voice of the Holy Spirit, God allows him to continue to live within this vulnerable, earthly body, for which, he is deeply grateful!
{The author’s “purpose” of writing this book is hopefully, to glorify God and to glorify Him “only,” but to also convey to you, “The riches of the glory, of the mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory!” Col. 1: 27} {paraphrased.}
This writing has been done in love, for the Lord and for each and every one of you!
