About the Book
Pastor and evangelist John Anderson has a deep concern for the direction our society has been heading. Inspired by the Word of God, he believes we are living in an evil hour and, unless we repent, we will face God’s judgment. Unfortunately, that reality is dangerously being ignored. But God is not mocked, and He will have the final word. Unless we repent, we will perish. In a spiritual guide, Pastor Anderson encourages believers to grow in their faith as they prepare for the return of the Lord and their entrance into heaven by sharing stories from the Bible as well as his own life. As he leads others down an introspective path, Pastor Anderson details the moment his son passed into the presence of our holy and loving Almighty God, his sobering tour of a Holocaust murder factory that prompted him to reflect on current barbaric cruelties in our society, and examples of national repentance that include insights into biblical characters such as Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, and the author of Psalm 106. Unless We Repent shares personal stories and spiritual inspiration to encourage believers to repent their sins and become born again to receive eternal life.
About the Author
Years ago, John Anderson resigned as a newspaper editor to enter ministry full-time. In those next twenty-four years, he and Esther served three congregations as pastors. While pastoring the third congregation, John preached a message series from Hosea and Amos, and one message, “The Cry of the Innocents,” particularly attracted attention, and he was invited to give the message to an international conference in Rome, Italy. After John gave the message in Rome, he and Esther received invitations from across America and other nations. These invitations increased to the point that they resigned as pastors and entered a traveling ministry. In addition to America, their travels took them to nations such as Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Austria, England, Canada, and Argentina. In 2019, Esther passed away (see Introduction). After her passing, John served two more congregations as pastor. This book is John’s fifth. Others include Cry of the Innocents, Cry of Compassion, A Roar in Sodom, and A Compassionate Roar.
