Annie was shy and she could not see that God had made plans of who she would be. She walked around town with her head hanging down and most of the time she was wearing a frown. I wish I was someone special she'd say as she daydreamed in school day after day. Maybe an actor. I'd be a big star. They'd all come to see me from near and from far. Then I'd be special and they would all see that I am as special as special can be! One day at recess Annie saw someone new. She sat down beside her and said hi I;m Sue. Sue was so happy she glowed from inside. She was filled with confidence and beaming with pride. They sat there together and talked for a while. Then Annie noticed that Sue made her smile. Your heart is so happy. How can that be? I think you're the someone I wish I could be. Why would you say that? I don't understand. Don't you realize that God has a plan? He gave you your looks and your talents Sue. Why would you want to be somebody new? He designed you himself with a mission in mind . He meant to make you one of a kind.There's no one else on earth just like you and no one else can do what you'll do.God always shows you what you can do to touch someone's life and make them feel new. I'd love to do that Annie told Sue. Then they would feel special and I would too! All of a sudden Annie could see . God wants Me to just be Me! He'll use my gifts and they will see they're also special. Just like me.

About the Book
This book is designed to help kids who struggle with low self esteem and identity issues. The point of the book is to help them understand they are a wonderfully unique masterpiece of God with an important purpose planned out for their lives.
About the Author
Teresa Adkins, better known as Granny T. by her students and friends, has taught elementary age students for almost twenty years. She currently teaches at Mosaic church in Clarksville Tennessee.
She has a burning passion to install a joy and confidence in every child knowing that they are a one of a kind masterpiece of God with a purpose and mission here on earth. Even now at their young age. Her favorite saying is “ Never underestimate the power of a kid.”
She writes and illustrates her books as they are inspired by God to help kids deal with everyday situations like fear, jealousy, anger, judgement and self doubt. Each book ends with one bible verse pertaining to the story.
Teresa received her diploma from The Children’s Institute of Literature and has had her artwork featured in Tennessee magazine, on Tennessee Crossroads T.V. show and in the Gatlinburg arts and crafts fair.
She currently resides in Clarksville Tennessee with her husband of fifty four years. She has three adult children, five granchildren and eight great grandchildren.
