Furthermore, since God exhorts us to put on the mind of Christ, be conformed to His image, and walk in His steps, it is evident that God desires that the distinctive marks and traits in Christ should also be the distinguishing marks and traits in us. Therefore, it is imperative that we discover what those marks and traits are and learn how to incorporate them into our lives. From these references, we learn that character is a mark or impression in the innermost part of a person expressed in that person’s external behavior. It is more than just a slight mark, indentation, or a cursory impression; it is a distinctive and determinative mark.

Character: Made in the Image of God, is a revelatory look at the true meaning of character. Jesus Christ is described as the express image of the person of God in Hebrews 1:3. The words “express image’ are a translation of the Greek word: charakter. Hence we understand that the image of God is the character of God. We were all made in His image according to Genesis 1:26.
