She sighed and moved out of the way like she had done so many times before. It was easier to do that than get into another quarrel with him. As she resumed humming her cheerful tune, she thought, "Why is he always like that?" He had always been like that. In fact, none of the other words in the land could ever remember a time when he wasn't like that. It had been so long that even his actual name had been lost, so he became known as Hollow.
