About the Book

The enemy seeks to destroy the testimony of Christians but there is a way to find victory. This book addresses discerning between depression and oppression, guidance out of emotional and spiritual darkness, setting healthy boundaries, and establishing healthy relationships.

About the Author

Shannon is a small town girl, married to a military man for over three decades, with the gift of sharing with women how to find peace in who they are, right where they are. She began writing to share her story when she faced her own demons head-on in depression and spiritual warfare.

Military moves bring with them fresh-starts. Chances to start over somewhere new. New friends. New job. New places – same fears. Same feelings of inadequacy. Same feelings of not belonging.

Shannon grew up seeking approval of family, friends, and teachers daily. After a traumatic experience, the feelings of rejection and worthlessness hit a new low and those feelings did not subside when good moments came – marriage, childbirth, college graduation. Even after coming to Christ, she still struggled to be accepted, but now under a whole new set of standards.

Shannon now has a new passion – not to please others, but to please God by showing others who they are. Shannon knows she doesn’t fit in this world. This is because she wasn’t made to fit here. She was made to live and serve here, not to fit as the enemy would have her (and you) to believe.

At the time of this publication, Shannon has earned a Christian Life Coach Certificate and is busy working on becoming a certified Mental Health Coach so she can continue to help other women find peace and freedom in knowing who they were created to be.
