The Goodness of God
Look all around; it’s for all to see—
The goodness of God for you and for me.
Look all around, for it’s everywhere—
The signs of God’s love, compassion, and care,
It’s in the sunlight, falling to the ground,
And it’s in the cry of a newborn baby’s sound.
It’s in the sky on a bright starry night
And in the hug of a mother before turning out the light.
It’s in a dad playing catch with his son,
And it’s in the flight of a young child’s run.
It’s in the joy of a bride walking down the aisle
And, even years later, when she looks at him and smiles
And says, “It’s OK, dear. This is not the end.
Though I’m going away, I’ll see you again.”
For the goodness of God, one day we will see,
Is in Heaven, with Christ and loved ones, forever to be.

About the Book
For to truly be the Christian that Jesus wants us to be,
We must bow our knees, give all to Him, and surrender our destiny
To the One who holds the past, the present, and the future in His hand.
For He is the only One who can lead us to the promised land.
Pastor Ryan Dillman is passionate about encouraging spiritual seekers in their Christian walks.
In a debut collection of inspirational poetry, he offers reflections that challenge Christians to live a life closer to Jesus through a better understanding of Biblical truths and by building strong relationships with our Heavenly Father and his Beloved Son. While lyrically exploring his own faith journey, Dillman also provides encouragement for other believers to embrace insight from the Bible while pointing all to salvation through God’s Only Son, Jesus Christ.

About the Author
Ryan Dillman is a pastor in the Wesleyan Church, an engineer, and the proud father of two daughters. He has recently had a spiritual restoration in his life and his first book of poems, Surrendering to God, flows from that continual experience. Ryan resides in Indiana.
