We all have troubles. Some are temporary, some lasting. Some devastating, some minor. We respond to our troubles in a variety of ways, according to how they affect us. Some impact our lives greatly, some have little significance. The approach we use to deal with them, or our choice not to, affects us. In certain situations, the way we react to our troubles causes deep emotional and spiritual wounds or brokenness. In others, slight scars. We may not even remember or understand the cause of some of our wounds, yet typically they are the result of some type of trouble. Healing our hurts may be challenging because we need to almost relive the source of the wound to complete the healing process. A friend of mine once said that healing can hurt more than the wound itself. It’s true, sometimes it does, temporarily. Yet, most people find the possibility of enduring restoration well worth a temporary disruption.

Maureen Morrison has had a life full of trials. Through intensive prayer, she learned that God wants her to use these hardships and wounds to minister healing to others. She presents some of the tools and techniques that helped her heal as well as well researched methods of prayer. God uses broken people like her to help others become whole and free.
