About the Book

"How big is a giant's head?" inquired Shea's five year old. That set off a whole bunch of exploration in to what some of the advantages (and maybe disadvantages) of having a giant for a friend might be. As the book unfolds, we find the giant to be a most likeable guy and after all the considerations, the reader concludes that it isn't always the way a person appears that makes for a good friend...but how kind the person is and what's in their heart.

About the Author

This is the first team effort for mother and daughter, Paula and Shea, to capture in writing the imagination and vision of a child's mind. Paula's life long career teaching children from preschool to high school and Shea's work with preschool and elementary children has given them many opportunities to look into their lively, creative minds. Both have found delight in the ability of the young to suddenly see life with a whole new perspective and they've found it exciting to travel with them as they explore these new dimensions. Add to the mix the delightful character creations by Cole Johnson, (Paula's grandson and Shea's nephew), and you have the completion of the "team". Together they have created a book that not only entertains children, but will lead to discussions about prejudice, bullying, friendship and many more current issues children face growing up. As a team, they hope to introduce more wonderful observations from the "mouths of babes" to further entertain you and your children!
