Little Angels and Mighty Angels

Speaking of bats . . . these furry little beasts with sharp, pointed teeth, I have some intriguing bat stories that happened in our house. One time I was vacuuming under something in the attic and caught a bat on the end of the vacuum hose. The suction held it there, and it was screeching away. I panicked, left the vacuum running. and ran downstairs. My husband could not be bothered at work that day, so I called a neighbor a few houses down from us. He was my "knight in shining armor" that day and helped a lady in distress (me!). He caught it and took care of it, which I was very thankful for! Another time, Dick had taken the girls to the Hart Fair for the evening. I had just sat down in my recliner to enjoy a nice chocolate shake while watching some TV. All of a sudden, a bat came circling around in the living room. I jumped up, spilled my shake, and ran into the front room and closed the sliding pocket door. There I sat with nothing to do until the family came home and Dick took care of the unwanted bat. I had been much too frightened to go out in the living room by the bat!
