INTRODUCTION
In today’s world, anything goes. Everyone is entitled to believe whatever they wish. When it comes to marriage, the other partner can be a dog, cat, or dolphin. And homosexuals can even marry other homosexuals. We have forgotten what marriage is and what it represents. God made marriages for His people. Period. The ones that know Him and want to follow His laws to the best of their ability.
People who are not Christians, or people who do not know God, do not want to follow His laws of nature that HE put in place for all mankind at the beginning of time. They follow their directions and pollute the rules that have been in place since Genesis 1. They do things that the people of old did when they worshiped false gods. They were having sex with multiple partners at one time, getting pregnant, having babies, and throwing their newborns into the burning fire for a sacrifice to their false fertility god Moloch or some other god. They believed their gods would give them abundant crops if they gave their infant child as a sacrifice to his burning fires.
Today the same thing is happening. Marrying and remarrying; having abortions to eliminate any inconvenience of self-indulgence. The Bible foretells all of this (2 Timothy. 3:1-5), and as a Christian nation today, we should not have forgotten what marriage is or what it is all about.
When I first moved out of my family's protection, I met a woman living with her boyfriend. I asked her when she and her boyfriend were planning on getting married. She promptly told me that marriage was something man thought up. It was not biblical. The Lord usually gave me answers to questions or statements like this. But for some reason, God was strangely quiet. I, therefore, started searching and digging into the Bible for a Biblical wedding ceremony. But for some reason, the Lord did not help me with this acquisition, and for years, I have searched, trying to find that answer. All I could find was the marriage supper, the wedding night, and the wedding party. There was nothing on a biblical wedding ceremony—or so I thought at the time.
I am a person who believes the Bible holds the key to every answer, and I cannot let it go until the Lord revealed the answer to me. If a person genuinely seeks an answer to something, you had better put your seat belt on, for you will not know where the Lord might lead you. If you are pretty set on your beliefs like I was, it might take DECADES before He can break through a thick skull.
