I hope this inspires you today to keep moving! Keep pressing on, even when you feel like you have nothing left. When you think your story is over, God is here to say your story is just beginning. God is here and ready to do amazing things. Put down your pen and allow Him to write the story He created you for. He will never leave nor forsake you. You just have to let go and allow him to move. Fight the darkness until His morning light comes. I know how hard it is to listen, to believe He is here. Trust me, I have asked Him. I’ve actually yelled at Him, asking where He was in the darkness. Where was He in that moment when I was desperately needing Him? I have been in places I didn’t think I’d make it out of—in places where I couldn’t see how loved I was or where I just wanted my pain to be over or places where living another day seemed too much to bear. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven down the road and thought about driving into the side of a bridge. This wasn’t during a time I was an unbeliever; it was actually quite the opposite. I went to church every Sunday and Wednesday, went to my church’s small group meetings, and listened to nothing but Christian radio. Friend, when I tell you that finding hope in the darkness isn’t easy, I don’t tell you that because I can’t relate. I tell you because I have had to fight this darkness my entire life. Hang on, and don’t give up. Find one thing, one person, one truth, one saying to cling to with all the fibers of your being. This small hope can slowly make the darkness fade into the night. My hope and prayer when the darkness comes is that you will remember you are not alone. Begin to speak the name of Jesus. When you can’t, He will. Ask Him to come in this moment with you. He’s here waiting.

Winter Hall is a devoted wife, mother, friend, and follower of Jesus. She is compassionate, caring, and loves wholeheartedly. Through her worst heartache, the death of her father in 2006, she found herself struggling. As her relationship with God grew, she realized that He was the only one who could sustain her. Her relationship with the Lord continues to grow.
