My Granny and Big Daddy lived down the block away and I remember going there to stay. There were always Ritz crackers with peanut butter there, as we watched Carol Burnett without a care. On Sundays we went to church during the day, and she would give me Juicy Fruit gum along the way.

Mom's mom lived in a trailer park we visited as well, we would walk to the store for candy where the merchant would make a big sale. My mom’s real dad died when she was a teen. A horrible wreck in another state, ended in a sad fate. Granny then married a man we called Uncle Bob, an army vet in a wheelchair, after serving, baking was his job.
