Keep Hope Alive

JUST HANG ON
“The herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with the herdsmen of Isaac, saying, “The water is ours”. So he named the well Esek ………… “And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quar-rel over it. So, he called its name Rehoboth….” Genesis 26:20&22.
Hang on. Keep the faith and use your thorns. Turn it around and build a throne with it. To succeed in life, you must stake your will in the process and not give up. Isaac did not.
Negative situations and challenges will arise to keep you away from the goal but just hold on, your God will see you through.
True, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. For as long as night follows day, your breakthrough will surely come.
Don’t allow Satan to cheat you. Don’t allow the thorns of persecution and adversity to turn your eyes from fulfilling the plan of God for your life.
Your future is too bright to abandon the journey to it. Nothing stops a child of God when he desires to move on. Every obstacle simply becomes a course to develop his muscles.
Imagine what would have happened if Isaac had abandoned the idea of digging wells, after the initial problem he had. He may not have had the privilege to name a place “Rehoboth”. May the Lord make room for and cause us to be fruitful.
Friend, the truth is anybody can press pass the pain if we will only try. We all can endure and turn our mess into a message.
I know that life may not always be easy, but I also know that when we put in the necessary effort with enough tenacity, backed by the grace of God, our breakthrough is sure to come.
When Isaac was thrown out by King Abimelech, that was a thorn, when he was being pushed around and pressed from pillar to post, that was an adversity with some thistles on it.
But when he kept digging, looking for purpose, refusing life’s thorns to prickle him to death, he even-tually came to his Rehoboth, and it was all over.
I believe Isaac knew in his heart that there was more to his situation than the physical oppression. I imagine him thinking to himself, “there must be more to those wells. There must be something that Satan does not want me to know or discover.”
How true. When he got to Rehoboth, it was all over! It was there he discovered he needed to move on to Beersheba. God met him there.
Do you know why you are out of job? Is it so that you could start your own business or because of a bad attitude that God wants you to correct?
Many have used adversity as a springboard to their destinies.
Press past the pain, discover the purpose of your thorns.
