About the Author

Francis A. Rundles, Ph.D. is very knowledgable and studious in scripture. An excellent teacher, well versed in scripture. He brings the scripture to life and makes the reader understand verse by verse. He was born Francis Antonio Rundles on January 18, 1963 to the parents of Wilbert and Nona Rundles in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He is the Founding Pastor of the Greater Hope Church of God in Christ, Mount Pleasant, Texas. He is currently the Superintendent of the Greater Hope Outreach District and serve as the Chairman of the Board of Superintendents for the Texas Northeast Third Jurisdiction, Church of God in Christ. He is the Secretary of the Board of Managers for Titus Regional Medical Center. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce as an Executive Board member. He will serve as Chairman of the Board for the Chamber in 2022. He will be the first African American serving in that position here in the City of Mount Pleasant.

He also serves on the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He has a Doctor of Divinity Degree and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Atlantic Coast Theological Seminary. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and Biblical Studies from Trinity College of the Bible. On January 19, 2020, the City of Mt. Pleasant made a proclamation for that day to be recognized as Dr. Francis A. Rundles Day. He is the proud husband of Lillie Rundles for 37 years. They have three children and seven grandchildren. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after 30 years of service.
