Pit Perfect
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Have you read the story of Joseph? If you read it you know about the pit that he was thrown in. The pit was not a pretty place. It was dark and empty. Joseph probably thought he would die. Have you ever felt like you were in a dark and empty place? Were there life
situations in which you felt death was your only way out? If so you were in one of the many pits of life. Could you ever imagine that some of the pits orchestrated by people, circumstances or our own fault could be turned around for our good. The pit of grief, the pit of depression, the pit of drug addiction and the list goes on and on. Some individuals actually find their purpose when they come out of the pit. Once they come out of the pit they save many people alive, just like Joseph did. Joseph went through several other trials after coming out of the pit, but the pit prepared him from it. See Joseph was perfect for the pit because when he came out he found his purpose which was to come up with a plan to save people from death during a famine. Joseph was the only one fit for the pit that he found himself in because God knew it would turn out for good. Everyone could not have endured that pit. Everyone cannot endure some of life’s pits that we have found ourselves in. The experiences that we had in your pits will help us to minister and help others come out of the same pit that we were once in. We should be grateful for the pit because the glory comes when we get out.
Warm Regards
Write a letter to God in which you share the emotions you felt in some of the pits of life. Let him know that you will not always look at the pit as a place of sorrow, but a place where spiritual growth can take place. Tell him how you plan to use your experiences in the pits of life to minister to others and give them hope as well while going through a pit of life.
