As I got older, I sometimes got frustrated with not communicating correctly. I would occasionally hit or get upset when people did not understand me. I would scream or show how I felt through my behavior. Sometimes, I would get upset in restaurants when I was hungry and couldn't communicate that the food was taking too long to come to my table. People would stare as I spilled juice on the table. "What's wrong with him?" they seemed to say as they stared and pointed.

About the Book
Justin, a happy boy with a super sunny smile, is ready to take on any challenge. As he grows, he realizes he is not like other children. Through a journey of self discovery, he discovers that God made him unique and special. He has a plan for every one of His children. Through Justin’s actions and Malina’s artwork, children remember that God loves each of us just as we are.
About the Author
Michelle O’Reilly is the mother of Justin, 18; and Maya, 16. They live in Orlando, Florida. She has been an elementary teacher for 25 years. She enjoys writing, traveling, and speaking to families who are raising children with special needs. She can be reached at journeytoacceptance.net. Malina Mixon, 10, is a fifth grade student who was in Mrs. O’Reilly’s class. When Malina is not creating beautiful artwork, she enjoys spending time with her family and her puppy, Jacques-Pierre.
