About the Book

Is it possible to forgive people who have offended me? Forgiveness: Getting Beyond the Pain confronts this difficult question.

“… Sherry Cahill gets to the heart of forgiveness, not only establishing the theological and biblical foundations for forgiveness but also practical means by which to process forgiveness from the heart...”–Rev. Gerald W. Coates, Director of Global Church Advocacy of the Free Methodist Church.

“… Sherry, has written this compelling book on forgiveness for all followers of Jesus. Each phrase from the Lord’s Prayer can be developed into a sermon. Our Lord underscored only one phrase: “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:14–15). Because we have been forgiven, we forgive 70 times 7!”–Dr. Jerry D. Porter, General Superintendent Emeritus of the Church of the Nazarene.

“… Sherry Cahill offers practical wisdom that can help readers to understand forgiveness better and encourage them to take steps to experience the freedom of living the forgiven and forgiving life.”–Dr. David W. Kendall, Bishop Emeritus of the Free Methodist Church.
