How did this book ever come to be? I never saw myself as a writer and never, ever thought about writing a book!
It began with a desire to preserve some of the stories of my growing up years and what life was like “back then” for my family and future generations. However, at 82 years of age, as I’ve talked with younger people over time, I realized that this period of history and the personal experiences of that time are almost lost. To many, they may not seem important, but my passion to share those memories continued to grow until I knew I “had” to write them down.
Will there be a sequel to this story? Maybe. I’m thinking about sharing some of the stories from my 45 year marriage to Karen and our family. It will definitely be an adventure book!
