Knowing the I Am

A Great Harvest The year was 2019. For the past twenty years, we had been coming out of our four walls with what we called fire teams. It was going to public places, such as businesses, schools, parks, markets, and buses, to share our personal experiences with Jesus. In the end, we invited people to give their lives to Jesus. Each year, the Holy Spirit indicated the country’s department to which we should go. The first year, we were a few, but each time, the number increased—for both workers and souls. There came a time when thousands of people prepared to work for God for ten days. They asked for vacations from their jobs and left businesses and homes to move to the designated department. Everyone worked. Some kept records of the scheduled events and distributed them among the people available to carry them out. Others carried the statistics, did the cleaning, cooked, prayed, and went to the streets to share their testimony. In 2018, 4,500 people mobilized to Estelí, Madriz, and Nueva Segovia departments. We shared our testimony with 416,918 people. The year 2019 was complicated. In 2018, there were massive demonstrations against the government because of social security reforms. Barricades were erected in all cities, paralyzing the country for several months. Police forcibly removed the barriers, retaking control of the streets. For this reason, they prohibited gatherings and mass mobilizations. That is why we believed that, at best, we could organize small-scale outings. In prayer, the Holy Spirit gave Humberto the strategy we should use. The tasks were to be distributed locally throughout the country. No one would leave their city, but everyone would work in their environment. In this way, we avoided mass mobilizations and large gatherings. Since everyone would sleep in their own house, we wouldn’t need multiple bedrooms for those arriving from elsewhere. The command posts or operations centers would be more in number but smaller in size and the kitchen would be more straightforward. We didn’t have high expectations, but God surprised us. More people got involved. One advantage was that being in the same city, they could work for God part-time. Moms participated while their children were in school, and students participated after class. At the end of the first day, as we counted the number of people reached, we were surprised at the high figures. By the end of the ninth day, we had reached a milestone: one million souls. I can’t imagine the rejoicing in the heavens!
