It was woud (loud) enough for Muma to come aw (all) da (the) way fwom (from) da (the) ovea (other) woom (room). She tode (told) me to use my inside voice. Ven (Then) she tode (told) me we would go on our own ventuwe (venture) wif (with) out my Big Meany brovew (brother). So, I jumped up and down vewy (very) cited (excited). Muma said; “not now Little Lu. Probably right after lunch. How does that sound? We’ll have a good lunch and go on an adventure.” I said; “vat (that) sounds gweat (great) but wunch (lunch) is fouevew (forever) away and what am I posta do in da (the) meantime.” I stamped my empisis (emphasis) foot again. I guess I’ll be pwaying (playing) in my woom (room) until wunch (lunch).

Little Lu takes an adventure that changes her life forever. She is a 3 year old who loves to learn big words and expresses them in her own way to those around her. She has her own language that is cute and humorous. Her “R’s” and “L’s” are a W sound. Her “TH’s” are a F or a T sound depending on her mood. She tells you the story from her point of view, which will make you laugh along the way. By the end of the book she begins to understand the true love of God.

Julie Martin has worked with children for over 30 years; using story telling to draw them into a deeper understanding of the Bible. She loves to leave them at a climatic point in the stories to keep them wanting more. She lives in Michigan with her husband John where they raised 4 children.
