Part I: On Marriage:
Marriage is a covenant between God, you, and your spouse. It is not a contract you sign until something bad happens in the relationship. In prayer, ask the Lord Jesus Christ to be the center of your marriage relationship forever. You do want a biblical marriage, meaning committed to God and to each other for a lifetime in oneness, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. You want to follow God’s principles to create a marriage that is lasting and purposeful. Marriage is a covenant. The husband and wife vowed to be faithful to each other for a lifetime. Keep in mind your husband is your soulmate for life. You need to cultivate unconditional love for each other by overlooking each other’s flaws and by growing seeds of love in a good soil. However, it does not mean tolerating any form of abuse.
Marriage is a lifetime commitment and is indeed beautiful. Though all marriages have their ups and downs during some seasons in their lifetime together, those who pray, persevere, and work hard at their marriages willingly with God’s help and guidance can make it to their fiftieth wedding anniversary and beyond. It is easy falling in love, but it takes a lot of work to stay happily married. Thank God for your marriage. Learn to nourish your marriage and cherish your spouse, as he is your treasure. Your spouse is a gift from God to you regardless of his shortcomings. Remember, perfection is only in heaven and not on earth.
Marriage is about love and forgiveness. Having a good marriage takes love, respect, and sacrifice.
Part II: On Motherhood:
Motherhood is a wonderful blessing from the Lord. Mothers should be loving and caring for their children from the moment they are born. God has entrusted this new life for you to love and nurture as you help them find their unique purpose and path.
A mother’s love provides comfort, healing, and warmth. Your child is a gift from God to you and your husband, as you carried this precious treasure of your love for each other, and it is now in your arms to love and nourish.
Motherhood, it has been said, is the job that truly matters, but it has its challenges and struggles. God’s grace blesses and provides somehow for each one in every situation. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and teach you how to parent your new child.
