Nazir wondered when the COVID-19 pandemic would be over. He thought about his friends at school and church. He missed them. He even missed some of his teachers. Will he play basketball again with his best friend Kasaun without wearing a mask. Or not having to wash his hands a bazillion times a day. Nazir wondered if things would ever be normal again. He thought and thought. But Nazir had a bigger problem. His thoughts took up most of his days and his nights. His thoughts and questions made him feel sad and confused. He was sad and sometimes angry about how some people thought about other people who looked like him. Would he be treated like some of the people he saw that died on television? He was afraid. He was terrified. Nazir also wanted to know why he existed. He wanted to know his purpose in life and if he was on this earth for a reason. He wondered if his life mattered.

About the Book
During times of difficulty, tragedy and unrest, we adults long for explanations that satisfy our minds, touch our hearts and bring comfort to our souls. Often, though, we forget that children have these same longings. After all, in many ways, children are, quite simply, little human beings; and, as little human beings, they think, wonder, imagine, and feel, even as we adults do. Sadly, when difficulties arise, we often behave as though children are immune from human responses. And even more sadly, we fail to lovingly and wisely address those responses. Such adult behavior often leaves children anxious and frightened. Happily, in her book, Nazir’s Big Question, Diane Eagles acknowledges the fact that children have many of the same feelings and questions as adults, particularly in times of tragedy and social upheaval. Diane also demonstrates that such times reveal that our God; The Bible and caring adults can provide age-appropriate insights for children - insights that can satisfy their longings; answer their questions and wrap their emotions in warm security blankets of love. About the Author
Diane P. Eagles, author of Nazir’s Big Question, is a STEM and STEAM educator and teacher. Whether discussing planets or the One who created them, she enjoys providing children with educational resources and support and teaching healthy life choices. Her teaching and training profession has extended over 30 years. She earned her BS in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University and a Master in Science Teaching from New Mexico Tech. Diane also holds a Master Teacher Certificate from Child Evangelism Fellowship® and Children’s Ministries Institute®.
She is a proud native Detroiter, presently resides in Upstate New York with her husband, Marc. Diane loves everything art and science and enjoys music and poking around caves and collecting rocks. She supports and participates in Good News Clubs® and summer 5-Day Clubs®.
