God’s Inaudible Voice and His Invisible Hands

You will have indeed heard the inaudible voice of God in those times you acquire much needed knowledge to handle situations. Those situations that on your own, you would have had no clue as to what to say or what to do. That is when you know, the Holy Spirit is doing His job...telling you the things of God!

{GEM 19} Ponder This…(Bishop Thomas’ Nugget)
When you think of the word nugget, what comes to mind? You may of course say, you think of a small piece of chicken dipped in a sauce. Sometimes the word nugget is used in reference to a small piece of gold. Often my husband, Bishop Thomas, will say things when addressing the congregation that leave a forever imprint on my mind and others. He does not have to do a full sermon, but merely make a comment or share a little wisdom for thought. I often call his valuable words of wisdom- nuggets! He was unaware that he was depositing into my understanding, a spiritual nugget during his brief comments one Sunday.
He did so by sharing this personal story with the congregation. One Sunday, before leaving home for church, he heard God speak to him through the Spirit. The Spirit told him to take some extra money to church. During the service, an unknown woman visiting the church, shared with the congregation that she was having financial difficulty. At the end of the service, my husband heard the Holy Spirit tell him to give the extra money he had brought to that specific lady. He was obedient and gave the woman the money.
It was at the end of his story that my husband shared a precious nugget. A valuable eye and heart opener. He said, “So many times, someone’s blessing, that God has made possible, gets temporarily placed on delay. The reason is because, the person instructed to do what is needed, for fear or because it doesn’t make sense to them, fail to follow through on what the Holy Spirit says.”
Wow! Now that is really something to think about! Since hearing my husband tell us that, I have been on high alert. I want to always be ready and willing to do what I know God is telling me to do in order to help someone.
How about you? Has there been a time God needed you to step up to the plate and do something for someone? Did fear within or the presence of onlookers stop you? Have we both been guilty of such careless thinking such as, “Oh somebody else will do it!” If you answered YES to any of those questions, then you and I dropped the ball. When we decide to not do the task instructed, we put momentary handcuffs on God’s invisible hands. Sure, God will find another person to do the job! He is faithful! He will definitely see to it that the person’s need be met. However, when instructed, I want to be the invisible hands God uses. How about you? We are blessed to be a blessing!
