When I came to my place of birthing, I still did not know how to push, but shortly afterward, a tragedy hit my life and shook me to the core of my existence. My birthing came forth out of pain, and I believe there are so many others who can relate to that. They are who they are now because of a great tragedy that arose out of their life that caused them to push. They would never have come into their next level of life had that tragedy not triggered it. And I feel like my tragedy triggered my purpose. And God had always set it to be that way. Because of that tragedy that happened in my family, I had always had visions of it for years. And I always tried to pray it away, and the day when it came to pass, it was so devastating for my family and me that it shook us to the core of our existence. And it made me dig deep within myself, deeper than I had ever explored before because I needed God at that moment on a level that I had never needed Him on before. My life had come to a pivoting point where I needed to cry out to God like I never cried out to Him before. And it was in that digging deep down within myself that I found my purpose and destiny and this book. It was always in me, and all the time, it was my platform. It is what God used to present me to the people He said I would influence.
I want you to understand that this season of pouring your foundation is your season and time of life where your night season has come to an end and the day breaks through. And what I want you to understand about daybreak is even though you can see the sun peeping over the horizon, it is still dark! Daybreak is that hour of the day where the darkness and the light are sharing the same space for a moment. So even though you've made it to your day season, and you are now in the light, right at the beginning of it when God says you’re out, and the door is open, it still looks dark! You can see the light coming over the horizon in the far distance, but the place that you are standing in is still dark. The shadows are still casting off the walls. You still may need a lamp or some artificial light to lighten your path because the sun has not fully arisen yet. But even though it is still dark, I want you to know you are in your day! That is why your walk is a faith walk because this is that point, that breaching point, that breakthrough point, where people give up. Many people come to the point of birthing, you can see your light, but you do not have enough faith or endurance to deliver your baby and come to a full birthing. Many people miscarry right at the point of breakthrough because they gave up and did not keep pushing! You cannot stop pushing while your baby is crowning. You do not want your baby to die in the womb, suffocate, or strangle in the womb at the breaching point. People are known to give up at this point because this is a crucial point of fighting past the darkness to step fully into the light. The fight is even more intense when you are on your way out; the mind plays even more tricks because you are tired. This is the place where Jacob wrestled with God now instead of the enemy because when you wrestle with God, you are fighting to hold on to Him, but when you're fighting the enemy, you are fighting for him to let you go. The fight has changed now; now you fight with God for Him to give you what He promised you. You fight because you have been through so much, and now you want to see what you have been waiting for. You know how much you have had to go through to get all that mixture poured in together to lay that foundation. The process you have been through and the things you endured are the substances used to form your foundation. Those things you went through are what you are now about to stand on, and if you never went through anything, you would not have anything to mix to create your cement. Your process is the things that you went through mixed all in together to form the cement that will be laid for your foundation so you can stand on the platform and build your life. Do not allow the dark shadows to get your focus off the sun that is rising. Immediately when God says, you are out, you have to take that first little hint and glimmer of light that you see and hold on to it until the sun rises so high in the sky that all of the shadows are gone. Hold on until all the darkness has dissipated!
It is like Elijah when he told them he heard the sound of abundance of rain. So, he went up to the top of Mount Carmel to pray for rain, and he sent his servant to go and look in the sky for a sign. And the servant returned, saying he did not see anything, but Elijah kept praying and sending his servant back out to check seven times until he saw a cloud. 1 Kings 18:44 reads, then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, "There is a cloud, as small as a man's hand, rising out of the sea!" So, he said, "Go up, say to Ahab, 'Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.'" That is all Elijah focused on was just that.
