About the Book
Marcus’ New Adventure is about a little boy with a big imagination who defeats bad guys and dragons in his dreams but faces his scariest real-life adventure when he learns his parents are getting divorced. Marcus loves his family and can’t imagine them living apart. Although his parents are unable to reconcile, his family and community surround him to show Marcus it isn’t his fault, he is still loved, and a beautiful life is still possible even if it’s not the one he always wanted.
About the Author
Tinika Wyatt is a singer, songwriter and newly published author in the children’s fiction genre whose songwriting experience shows up in the cadence of this poetic writing. She is a wife, mother and a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate student who desires to leave a legacy of building strong families and communities. As an adult child of divorced parents, she understands the pain of separation and starting over that can debilitate parents and children alike. Still, there is a need for parents and families to work together for the health of their children regardless of their difficulty to resolve relational issues with one another. Tinika uses all her gifts to promote family unity and this book is one of the fruits of that work.
