When fall comes, the brown, gold, red and dark green leaves start to fall and pumpkins line the many farm houses. Cool breezes start to blow through red-gold trees over colorful tawny hills. Fall is when Sarah and Leah had their first baby lambs. The new lambs brought joy and happiness to Mom & Pop. They called everyone they knew to announce the births of these fluffy babies and named them as if they were their children.

About the Book
Trio is a non fiction story of three sheep on a farm in Texas. It is creatively designed for children who may be grieving the loss of a family member or pet. It is also about love and caring for sheep through each season. As the three sheep grow older and die, death is not permanent because they join their ancestors in Lamb Heaven. The story includes an introduction to genealogy, vocabulary and a reference to Classical music, the Seasons of Antonio Vivaldi. This author therapeutically combines music, art, and Scripture with a little psychology for emotional, mental and spiritual well being.
About the Author
Rita Cecilia Maduell Huie is a retired art educator and clinical social worker with a masters in social work and a masters in music performance. Mrs. Huie is an oil and mixed media painter and a flutist who also loves baking and cooking. She and her husband live on a farm in the middle of Texas caring for sheep, dogs, cats and wild deer and rabbits who run through the field. Ms. Huie was born and raised in New Orleans from a family of musicians, artists and writers. She and her husband play music in the Catholic church and local community bands. Together they have three children and four grandchildren.
