Through the fire

Next, in no order, Eric Jenkins, my friend, obeyed God and told me the Lord awoke him one morning at 5 am and told him to say to me to write a short story about what I've been through and overcame. Krishaun Davis, my husband, encouraged me and gave me gentle pushes to keep going, even when the most painful. My King, you believed in me and weren't ashamed or frightened by my past. You have been my rock; you never gave up and showed me how to love again. Delores Fortson, my mother dearest, God rest your soul. When I was down, you picked me up. Thank you for being in my corner. You taught me how to trust God no matter what. You always spoke positively in every negative situation. Thank you especially for rushing to Pittsburgh to get my boys and care for them. Thank you, mother. I wish you could see your daughter make this book and transform lives. Charles Johnson, my oldest child, you had to endure abuse at an age where you couldn't possibly deserve it. I thank God for giving you strength. For the sleepless nights and gunshots in the wall. You, my son, always obeyed me, and your love for your mother and my love for you has never wavered. Keep striving to be your best. Jonathan Butts, my Jonny boy, you were only one year old when you had to witness such a tragedy. You didn't understand much, but you saw a lot. And I took from you something I can't give back. You love me in spite. You are a great father to your children, and I'm so proud of you. Brieann Butts, my baby girl, I carried you for nine months and tried to keep my emotions intact, so nothing transferred to you. Now, look at the woman you are today. Thank you, my love, for keeping me alive when I no longer wanted to be. Thank you for pushing me to get this book finished. Thank you for loving your mother unconditionally and wholly. Tonya Bridgers, my sister, thank you for caring for my children when I was away. I'm forever grateful, and I love you.
